With the weather turning cooler and the summer fun turning down, haircare is still essential for a healthy mane. With that being said, the best way to keep your tresses from not feeling the arctic dryness would be the proper conditioners for your hair type. This will ensure that your hair stays healthy threw the summer-winter weather change.

fallhair2If you live in a part of the country where the weather takes a turn for the coldness and you have thick heavy hair, using a conditioner that is creamy and rich can give your mane the boost it needs. For some individuals with super curly hair, a heating cap may be needed to ensure your hair ends get the royal treatment they deserve. I recommend Onesta’s Nourishing Moisture Masque. Not because it’s free of parabens, sulfates, gluten, dyes and other nasty harsh chemicals that can dry the hair more than we would like, but because it leaves thick hair feeling soft and manageable without weighing it down. This hair mask would also benefit hair textures that use chemicals of any kind, such as relaxers, smoothing treatments or color.

For the individuals that have straight baby fine hair and do not want the flat head look when styling, shampoo as normal and use a light water base leave-in conditioner. This will give the hair the softness you are desiring without the heaviness that can weigh down your mane. Keep in mind, if your hair is fine and curly you may want to run a lightweight conditioner threw your hair ends because a leave-in conditioner may not give you the moisture you need for the dry air whether change.
